About Me
Having worked at Christie's auction house for many years, I combined my passions for the art world and the technical side of lighting in photography. It was an amazing experience, from working as a photographer in Paris on the Rudolf Nureyev collection, to managing the department and making sure the processes and colours were accurate for all the catalogues. This has given me the most incredible education for my current freelance work. At Art UK, I took a part in photographing all publicly owned oil paintings in the UK, from Fire Stations to Museums and onto to the Oxford University Colleges. A Pevsner in oil paintings.

I am extremely lucky to do a job which I love, working with beautiful collections and creative people. I use the same working disciplines in fine art as in all of my photography, be it portraits or flowers. Lighting is key for me, be it in the early morning for a garden shoot or creating painterly effects in my studio with flash and photoshop. The publishing world has been kind to me and I've taken on several jobs for writers which have been published.

It is only since achieving my MA 2018-19 at AUB that I have realised my use of lighting in portraiture comes straight from the old master painters. Techniques I used for my series on video gaming addiction. My botanic pieces have often been described as watercolours or oil paintings and now my portraits take on this style too.
Drone photography for landscape gardeners has become essential to my clients. Early morning starts (4am) enables me to observe the beautiful countryside as well as feel very privileged to see the gardeners and designers genius planting. I do love the natural world which is why botanical prints also feature in my exhibition work.
Some of my most rewarding jobs has been working for the soup kitchen in Newbury. It's been a challenge to get their information across without showing any personalities in a sensitive and sometimes volatile environment. Here I work in stills and video.
